Step-by-step
  1. Open Chart of Accounts; browse by type (Assets → Expenses).
  2. Filter by category or search by name/number.
  3. Add or edit accounts; type drives the normal balance.
GAAP note. Accounts carry a GAAP category + normal balance side; control accounts post automatically.
